This film features the voices of John Travolta and Mark Walton, as well as other notable individuals such as Susie Essman, Nick Germann, and Malcolm McDowell. It was one of the last roles that James Lipton would play before he passed away on March 2, 2020.

The film revolves around Bolt, a dog who has been on the set of a television show for a long time. When Penny, his owner, gets kidnapped on the show, Bolt decides to run away to save her. He then reunites with his friend Mittens, an alley cat, and Rhino, a hamster, on a cross-country trip.
