ABOUT
Disney's 48th animated feature film is Bolt, which was released in 2008.
Directed by Byron Howard and Chris Williams, it features an ensemble cast
and was produced by Clark Spencer. The film was written by Dan Fogelman
and Williams.
This film features the voices of John Travolta and Mark Walton, as well
as other notable individuals such as Susie Essman, Nick Germann, and
Malcolm McDowell. It was one of the last roles that James Lipton would
play before he passed away on March 2, 2020.
The film revolves around Bolt, a dog who has been on the set of a
television show for a long time. When Penny, his owner, gets kidnapped on
the show, Bolt decides to run away to save her. He then reunites with his
friend Mittens, an alley cat, and Rhino, a hamster, on a cross-country
trip.
The film, which was released in the U.S. on November 21, 2008, premiered
on November 17, 2008, at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles. It
received positive reviews and helped establish a new creative direction
for Walt Disney Animation Studios. It also led to the critically acclaimed
movies Frozen (2013) and Tangled (2010).
The film was nominated for several awards, including the Golden Globe,
Academy Award, and the Best Original Song award.
