ABOUT

Based on Marvel Comics' Black Panther, this film will be released in 2022.

It is the second film in the Marvel Studios' cinematic universe following Black Panther.

The film features Letitia Wright, who will play Shuri, Black Panther. It is directed by Ryan Coogler, and written by Joe Robert Cole. Other actors who appear in the film include Danai Gurira, Michaela Coel and Winston Duke.

The film follows the leaders of the African nation of Wakanda as they fight to protect their country following the death of King T'Challa.

The idea for a follow-up to Black Panther began in February 2018 after the film was released. In the following months, Ryan Coogler was offered the opportunity to return as director. In 2019, Marvel Studios confirmed the project's development. The studio's plans for the follow-up were changed in August 2020 when the actor who played T'Challa, Chadwick Boseman, died.

The first film's other main cast members were confirmed in November 2021. The title of the film was also announced in May 2021. The film started filming in June 2021 at various locations, including Tyler Perry Studios and Trilith Studios.

The film was released in the US on November 11, 2022. It was the last film in Marvel Studios' Phase Four. It has earned over $835 million globally and became the sixth-highest-grossing film of the year.

In the past, actress Angela Bassett won an award at the Golden Globe Awards and the 28th Annual Critics' Choice Awards. The film also received multiple nominations.
